customUI Ribbon XML Editor

I’ve created a new addin for editing and validating Ribbon customUI XML. It’s a form that lets you modify ribbons in workbook and addins. Here’s a couple of screenshots:

    • Hi Frank, The key difference is that this runs from inside Excel as an addin and doesn’t require admin privileges. It also lets you validate XML by just pasting it in. There are also some things you might like better about the validation, like highlighting the error. I’m not sure how the Custom UI Editor handles workbooks with both kinds of ribbons.

If you try mine, let me know what you think.

  1. I’ve used this a few times over the last two days and it works great. So much nicer than uninstalling addins, opening the terrible CustomUI program, etc, etc. Wish List: add the callback stubs
